25% Onsite at  Albany, NY and 75% REMOTE

• Ability to travel within New York State to perform physical work on network and voice infrastructure

The person will own/support enterprise LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and voice infrastructure, primarily remotely, with the ability to travel within New York State when physical network work is required.

Top 3 must-have technical skills:

1. Cisco Network & Voice
   • Cisco Catalyst / IOS
   • Cisco Meraki
   • Cisco voice technologies
   • Strong enterprise routing/switching knowledge
2. LAN / WAN / SD-WAN
   • Enterprise network design, implementation and troubleshooting
   • Silver Peak / Aruba / HPE
   • Internet connectivity, DHCP, DNS
3. Network Infrastructure Operations
   • Network architecture/design
   • Troubleshooting outages
   • Vendor management
   • Network documentation
   • After-hours outage/support availability

Primary Responsibilities, and Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

Skills Required

• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco network and voice products
• Expert-level technical knowledge of network services (DHCP, DNS, etc.)
• Ability to travel within New York State to perform physical work on network and voice infrastructure
• Expert-level experience managing vendor relationships and vendor oversight
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability; an entrepreneurial edge, resourcefulness, adaptability, and an instinct for surfacing value and pragmatic solutions
• Skill in managing multiple diverse activities simultaneously, delivering on commitments and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment

Specialized skills Required

• The ideal candidate is trained and experienced with Cisco and Extreme network equipment and the tools used to support those network environments.
• The position is directly responsible for designing, installing and maintaining computer networks in new-construction spaces and supporting organizational growth.

Education, Certifications, Degree requirements

• Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science or an Associate’s Degree in a STEM field plus 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

Tasks

• Manage LAN/SDWAN and Voice services across the enterprise
• Develop, support, and maintain voice services to meet the needs of Client teams
• Assure that support & maintenance contracts for software and hardware are current
• Design, implement and document IP network architecture and services
