Title: Boiler Operator

Location: Greenville, OH (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Open-ended / Long-term potential)

Work Schedule: 5 Days / 12-Hour Shifts (60 hours/week)

$225/day Per Diem

Position Overview

Seeking a licensed Boiler Operator to oversee, operate, and maintain high-pressure steam utility systems at the Greenville, OH manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient steam and utility delivery to support 24/7 chemical production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain high-pressure boilers, steam generation systems, feed pumps, condensers, and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor operational parameters (pressure, temperature, water levels, fuel consumption, and emissions) and make real-time adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Perform chemical analysis and water treatment testing on boiler feedwater, condensate, and cooling systems; adjust chemical dosing to prevent scale, corrosion, and carryover.
  • Conduct regular rounds, routine mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, safety relief valve checks, and troubleshooting across boiler room utilities.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and records of operating conditions, fuel usage, maintenance activities, and regulatory inspections.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, EPA standards, and Ohio Division of Industrial Compliance steam regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensing: Active High Pressure Steam Operator License or Stationary Steam Engineer License issued by the State of Ohio (Mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience operating high-pressure boilers and steam auxiliary systems in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical plant setting.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with boiler water treatment, pump operation, instrumentation, and utility piping systems.
  • Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts across a 60-hour workweek.
