  • Clear communication - Regular status – verbal and written

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Supplier management skills - work with overseas supplier
  • Prior experience in Amazon, Apple, Microsoft
  • Prefer Senior experience, happy to take an engineer who have experience in program management

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to support our Hardware Design TPMs in driving engineering design deliverables, managing hardware component delivery, and creating development schedules.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product development processes, familiarity with product design fabrication processes, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support Hardware Design TPMs in coordinating and driving engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans
  • Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
  • Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs
  • Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership
  • Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints
  • Manage communication within and between internal cross-functional and external partners
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review

How will performance be measured?

  • Technical Competency: We will assess whether the TPM has a strong understanding of the technical requirements of the project and is able to provide effective guidance to engineers.
  • Project Management: We will evaluate the TPM's ability to manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within scope.
  • Collaboration with Engineers: We will assess the TPM's ability to work closely with engineers to identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure that the engineering team is meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
  • Communication: We will evaluate the TPM's communication skills, including their ability to clearly articulate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and ensure that all stakeholders are informed about project progress and any issues that arise.
