Purpose of the Job –

• This position supports the Production Department by performing all cleaning, and preparation duties ensuring all parts and equipment are sanitized and available for production use in accordance with written and verbal procedures. 
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety and cleanliness of the work area with respect to department standards, policies and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) while providing support to all Production areas as needed.

Knowledge and Experience –

Education and Experience

• Entry level. Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a production environment and mechanical dexterity is helpful but not required.
• Basic computer navigation skills required.

Principal Responsibilities –

• Help maintain a safe work environment. 
• Perform inspections, participate in safety trainings and programs.
• Perform cleaning of process equipment and product containers.
• Perform cleaning of Manufacturing Areas.
• Assist higher level Technicians with moving equipment and/or packaging finished goods.

Nature and Scope –

Business environment:

• Knowledge and understanding of all safety policies, equipment cleaning processes.
• Proper time management and tracking are required to maintain standards and efficiencies.
• Knowledge and understanding of GMPs.

Work Environment:

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and be fully mobile with the ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• The employee will be required to wear safety glasses, shoes, gowning and respirator as required while also using ladders and stairs.

Level of Autonomy/Decision Making Responsibility:

• Knowledge and understanding of all production equipment cleaning processes is required to safely and properly clean, sanitize and assemble all equipment. 

Internal and external relationships:

• Frequent interaction with all department personnel (including more experienced technicians, coordinators, supervisors and administrators) for decision making, and receiving of assignments.
• This position reports to the Operations Manager with functional reporting to the Team Leader.

Employee Health Safety:

• Participate in all EHS programs at the site, including Safety Officer program, attending safety talks, completing all Success Factors training if/as assigned, entering EHS activities when required, etc.
