Role is full-time (40 hours a week) from the start

This role is essentially a Production & Materials Planner within Clinical Supply Chain at the Malvern, PA manufacturing site. It is not a warehouse/logistics coordinator and not a procurement/buyer role. The person is responsible for making sure production is properly scheduled and all raw materials/components are available when clinical manufacturing needs them.

Role is going to be HYBRID onsite in Malvern, PA

  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • Start on materials planning
  • Should have Supply Chain exp
  • Will be checking SAP every day
  • Will be networking with Operations and Warehouse Teams
  • Help with the Production Planning
  • This role is very cross-functional
  • Must have at least 3 years of exp in manufacturing planning or logistics planning

General Mission

  • Be part of Clinical Supply Chain, E2E Planning organization & help us achieve our mission of delivering hope in a box to our patients.
  • The production and Materials Planner is a site-based role, responsible for coordination and execution of activities related to the production planning and procurement of raw materials and components to support clinical manufacturing at Malvern, PA facility.
  • Working in a dynamic environment that is a clinical supply chain, the Production and Materials Planner is expected to support projects that are aimed at optimizing & maturing our E2E clinical network as well as activities within the MRP space.

Production Scheduling

  • Schedule and coordinate primary and supporting production planning activities to prioritize and ensure timely release of intermediates and API based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Update actual production status in SAP and Advanced Planning Systems and create and release process orders as per the agreed detailed scheduling horizon. Ensure planning system parameters are maintained up to date.

Material Requirements Planning

  • Review purchase requisitions and exception messages, driven by both a system-based, and manual demand intake process as a result of changes within the Clinical Master Production Schedule, and/or Cell Bank development changes.
  • Ensure orders are placed in alignment with supplier lead time and maintain optimal inventory levels based on the desired level of flexibility within a clinical supply chain.

Supply Constraint Management

  • Manages potential abrupt deviations to the plan assessing with the suppliers the feasibility of the changes, rapidly highlighting to the affected internal stakeholders if the changes are not possible.
  • Provide material feasibility assessments as input into API Clinical Sourcing Committee indicating if requests are feasible & constraints along with resolution scenarios.

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of clinical trials & clinical supply chain
  • Knowledge of Biologics & Advanced Therapy manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning principles
  • Project & Change management skills
  • Strong operational and data analysis skills. Ability to analyze data to identify and resolve exceptions aiming to minimize supply disruptions
  • Results-oriented, sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment, considering diverse perspectives and styles

Degree

  • relevant professional work experience (including manufacturing, logistics, planning) is required.
  • Supply chain certification (APICS/IBF) is desirable.
