      Description

      Open to more experienced candidates (3-5 years).

       

      Position summary:

      • This job function provides analytical support for determination of ligand binding to target protein using two-dimensional liquid chromatography coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry (2D-LC/MS).
      • This analyst needs also engage with ligand binding confirmation using Native Mass Spectrometry approach.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Work directly with Client senior scientist in day-to-day tasks.
      • Conduct sample preparation and assist instrument analysis/troubleshooting.
      • Assist running experiments and data acquisition.
      • Assist data processing with instrument vendor’s and Client in-house software.
      • Capture data into Client e-notebook and assist data archiving.
      • Help to maintain instrumentation and bioanalytical consumables inventory.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • BS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or relevant disciplines
      • Knowledge of separation science and/or instrument analysis particularly in LC/MS
      • Computer literacy, and competency with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, etc.
      • Fast learner of new skills and attention to details.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Training and experience in analytical lab with any of the following – HPLC, mass spectrometry, sample preparation/purification for either large or small molecules
      • Demonstrated scientific knowledge (e.g. GPA) and/or skills to maintain high level of performance

      Job Expectations:

      • Onsite, 40 hours / week, present during core business hours (9 to 3)
